A good picture is worth a thousand words. But a GOOD picture is worth a MILLION! A good event photographer knows exactly where to be and when to shoot. They sense the whole event and they sense every moment. There's unlimited ways to take picture of particular moment. But there's only a few ways to capture it in a way to preserve feeling, emotion and vibe of the moment. If your event is special and extraordinary one, it a good idea to invest in a good event photographer. Especially for corporate events and concerts, quality of the images speaks for the quality of the company over and over. NUMBER OF PHOTOGRAPHER Number of photographer varies on the type of event. For example, 2~3 photographers can cover wedding depending on the size. But you need at least 3 to 4 photographers for live concert to capture different kinds of action. A large corporate events also require many number of event photographer. A good event photographers find out as much detail as possible about the event beforehand and make educated decisions on number of photographers and where to place them. DIFFERENT KINDS OF EQUIPMENT Professional event photographers use different kinds of camera equipment to capture optimum images. Lenses are especially important since It decides how the images will be captured. Focal length makes difference on how the images are captured. Good event photographer knows how to utilize different focal length lenses to capture every detail about the concert. Wide angle is used for capturing the whole atmosphere of the concert, while telephoto lenses are used to capture close up of the artists. Occasional problem event photographers face is that they can not get too close to the subject/artist. That’s when super telephoto lenses come very useful. Super telephoto lenses are able to capture detailed images from very far away. This is why it is important to find out if your event photographer has all the right equipments. Without the correct lenses and cameras, it is impossible to capture the right images. GOING WITH THE FLOW’ Last but not least, good event photographer must know how to read the flow of the concert. That is the only way to determine where to be and when to shoot. This is very important in concerts and shows since there is beginning, climax and end. Good event photographers actually study and listen to the music before the event itself. CHOOSING THE RIGHT EVENT PHOTOGRAPHER Once the event is finished, there is no turning back. It also means that there is no way to re-capture the moments. You must capture it right the first time because is there is no second chance. That's why you must hire qualified event photographer. Your company spent good amount of money to produce the event. And only way to capture it is to have the right event photographer, because the images will speak about your event in times to come. PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY Photographing people is the most popular form of photography today. Everyone takes shots of family and friends, but the majority of portraits end up poorly exposed, out of focus, and in the trash can.. A successful portrait photograph should capture a person’s character and reveal something about their personality. A good portrait must be exposed correctly, with warm skin tone colours. The focal point of a good portrait image should be the eyes. This is the area of the face you must focus on accurately. The eyes must be one hundred percent sharp to draw the viewer into the image. By choosing an aperture of F/8 or smaller and shooting at least three feet away from the subject you should create a depth-of-field to bring all parts of the face into good focus. The equipment needed to get successful portrait images is basic. A standard 35mm camera is perfect. Cameras that use film are better than digital; portrait film allows you capture warmer skin tones. Digital cameras have their own advantage but the cost of having an up-to-date digital darkroom can be immense. Once you have chosen your camera the next piece of equipment you need is a lens; lenses should have a focal length of between 85 mm and 135mm. They also permit you to fill the frame from a reasonable distance and help reduce perspective distortion. Most people become tense in front of the camera - this is natural and the job of a portrait photographer is to make sure this doesn’t affect the final print. A tense subject will lead to a poor dull image that no one will want to buy. The key to creating a good portrait is having a relaxed subject - this may be achieved by talking to the subject while shooting the portrait. If this doesn’t work play some music - people react to different kinds of things. Psychology plays an important part in the work of a portrait photographer and the younger the subject the harder it is to get a result. |
